Seattle to New York

It’s 5:15 a.m. on Friday. For what seems like the millionth time in recent years, I’m sitting in SeaTac airport, waiting to board an eastbound flight. This time, however, I’m not going to Europe. Instead Joe and I are on our way to see Ed Goode receive his Doctorate in American Literature from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. (After 11 years of post high-school education, I’m sure he’s ready to be done!) Dr. Goode has accepted a teaching position with Villanova University, which he will begin this fall.

I apologize for the lack of blog posts as of late! After Kate left, my brothers came to Spokane to visit. We had great intentions involving a Sunday afternoon round of golf… but were summoned to cover a breaking news event down in Moscow, Idaho early Sunday morning. For more on our coverage, click here:
